Chapter 4

1108 Words
I have been in this cell for 2 weeks. Jace called my job and since they are witches in his coven he explained that I was working with them and that I would be unavailable for the unforeseeable future. I thanked him when he told me. I liked my job and the people I worked with. Collin has pulled me out every single day and has continued to ask me why Pan came to visit. I keep telling him I can’t explain. That I am doing it for their safety and the longer they keep me here the more they are in danger. He thinks I’m trying to start a fight when I’m not. Today Collin took me outside this time with Jace not far behind. We went to a clearing not far from where the manor was. Collin stood in the clearing and turned to me, “You say if we continue to hold you here we will be in danger, Yet nothing has happened. I don’t believe that something will happen.” Collin says, holding his arms out and challenging me. “Sir, with all due respect I didn’t imply that I would be the danger coming to you. The reason Pan came here was to inform me that someone was looking for me and that if he could find me then that meant the other person could find me.” I say rolling my eyes. I can’t even believe he would think I could or would try to take down his whole coven. Granted it would be easy but it’s a waste of time. “Well who else would? No one has come in 2 weeks, Anastasia!” Collin yells looking around and spinning in a circle. I look up quickly and something charges in the air. This is one moment where I am not concerned about him coming. I know he is. Suddenly there was a loud clap of thunder and dark clouds started to form in the sky. Collin looks up confused as to what’s happening, as the sky gets darker the wind picks up. “Well, you just confirmed to him that I am here.” I shrug as the ground around us shakes and sounds like it cracking around us. Collin looks at Jace and me as the floor splits in front of us. A burst of blue flames shoots out and Collin stumbles back. Jace runs up behind me and I put my arm out telling him to wait. The ground closes up and the smoke clears and there stands a tall man in a black leather jacket, dark jeans, combat boots, tattoos down his arms, and blue spiked hair. I rolled my eyes and the man glanced at Collin as Collin took a couple of steps back. The man glances behind him and sees me. “Anastasia Iris Katarina Basilia. How are you, my dear?” The man asks with a smirk. “Hello, Hades, God of the Underworld and son of Cronus and Rhea...” I say rolling my eyes at his full title. Hades gave a small smirk and turned fully around. “Hades? Why is Hades here?” Collin asks, walking around to our side so he’s standing in front of Hades now. Hades looked at him and rolled his eyes. “Collin Moore, Warlock, and leader of the Midnight Moon Coven. Over there behind Anastasia, must be your son Jace.” Hades says glancing at Jace for a second before looking back at Collin. “Hades, leave them alone. You’re here for me. Let’s get this over with.” I say calling for his attention. Hades looked at me and shook his head. “Oh sweetheart, Pookie, no need to rush,” Hades says walking towards me. “Can you explain why you’re here sir? Half of us don’t know what’s going on.” Jace says subtly, putting a hand on my waist. Hades noticed it. “Oooh. I see.” Hades now stands directly in front of us. “Little Anya found him! I am sure your Aunt Hera would be thrilled.” He says rolling his eyes at the mention of his sister. “I am here because this lovely turtle dove stole something from me and I would like to have it back.” Hades moves a strand of my hair that has fallen out of my braid, out of my face. I move my head back. “Don’t touch me. Hera at least cares. I didn’t steal anything I took what was rightfully mine.” I say being discreet about what this was about. “You know Hades? Hera? Any other Gods and Goddess that might stop by?” Collin shouts walking towards us. As he approaches he sees Jace’s hand on my hip. “Jace! Remove your hand!” Jace jumps but doesn’t move his hand. “He can’t, can he?” Hades says smiling. “You forget sweet ums. I am a shifter too and I had one. It’s not my fault she left me and took what was mine.” “Not mine either do not bring him into this. You weren’t there at all. That is on you and I needed it to stop her! You would have done the same thing!” I yelled, throwing my hands in the air. “Okay someone needs to explain what is going on. I’m not going to be playing ping pong with all of the back and forth!” Collin yells. “You forget you are on my property!” Without missing a beat or looking away from me Hades tells the secret I didn’t want others to know because no one understands and I start getting treated differently and not always good things. “Anastasia Iris Katrina Basilia, daughter of Hades and Maleficent has sticky fingers and took a dangerous weapon to destroy her mother and never returned it!” He says smiling. My face goes pale. Jace stiffens behind and Collin gawks. “Your parents are Hades, God of the Underworld, and the evil sorceress Maleficent!?” Jace asks, taking a step back. “You’re a dragon and serpent shifter, sorceress, and a Demi-Goddess!?” I look at Jace and all I can see is shock and awe. “In other words, you could leave that cell whenever you wanted!?” I slowly nodded confirming everything he was saying. “Keeping secrets from mates is never a good start?” Hades says with a smile. “That’s what your mom did. Kept her witchy side a secret. No offense of course.” He says smiling at Jace.
