I hissed, protectively putting a hand over my eyes. The sunlight filtering through the curtains was blinding. The thin curtains did little to stop any light from escaping. Maybe it was a way to wake the leaders up early in the morning, just so they could be ready for the day ahead. Finally, my eyes adjusted to the surroundings, and I found myself lying in our room. Disbelief washed over me as I frantically looked around. Was last night another dream? Or did it actually happen? My doubts were erased when I moved a bit to feel the soreness between my legs.
