Cassius POV
The night of the equinox had finally come.
We arrived at the alpha’s home in a Jeep. Selena and I sat in the back, Luca drove, and Lucien stayed quiet in front. As soon as the car stopped, the mood changed. It became tense and serious.
Lucien turned around and looked straight at Selena.
“This is a test,” he said. “For all of us. Especially you.”
Luca also turned to her, speaking calmly.
“Your heat is coming soon. That means many wolves will try to get close to you. Be careful and don’t trust them too easily.”
Lucien’s tone turned harder.
“This deal matters. If you break it tonight, you won’t go back with us. You’ll stay here in Moonblessed, whether you want to or not.”
