“I saw the door,” she said. “I just didn’t want to go in without asking.” She looked straight into my eyes, like she always did, searching for something.
My wolf usually hated eye contact it felt like a challenge. But with her he liked it.

I turned and motioned for her to follow me. Luca and Cassius followed behind her.
I opened the library door and looked at her. Her eyes lit up as she saw all the books.
“There are even more books here than in Jareth’s study!”
That made me smile inside. She didn’t care about how big or fancy the room was she noticed the books. Just like me, she loved them.
I showed her around, explaining how everything was arranged. There were also items from our travels on the shelves, and space left for more books.
