“Where do you want to start?”
I twisted my hands in my lap. That was a hard question to answer. There were many things that I wanted to know now and it was the first thing that I had to choose that stumped me. I licked my lips.
“What are you?”
A small smile pulled at the corner of his mouth. It was more of a smirk. Transforming his face, he looked a little more approachable, but in the way that I might think that I might get into more trouble. It was suddenly clear to me that he was around my age, maybe younger, and it surprised me a little. He acted so much older than me, like he was ten years older in fact, yet he was around my age. And when he smiled like that, it was hard to tell the older version of him—jaded and rugged—from the younger version which was kinda sweet and kind lookin
