I didn’t look at any of them as I moved to the door. I resisted the urge to shove past them, especially when Joey almost got in my way. He was always trying to look like this shy and nervous guy around me when I knew that he wasn’t. It was all an act to get my guard down. I was done with falling for them. Not even Kody could get me to calm down and that was a choice, not a side effect to whatever was going on with me and those damn blue eyes of theirs.
