All three of them lead me downstairs. They didn’t give me a choice. It seemed all my choices were revoked from my outburst. There was an unsettling silence that had fallen over us. It wasn’t one that was consuming. It wasn’t one that made it hard to think. It was an awkward silence that made it so much easier to see how they were in control and I was just being pulled around like a pet.  Dave kept me wrapped in his arms as we walked down the stairs and into the living room. It was hard to look at the chair and not see what they’d seen. My writhing body on top of Kaden’s was so shameful even in my own head that I couldn’t help it when I turned my head away.
