I couldn’t look at him anymore. I closed my eyes and rubbed them. “Sorry. It’s still so much to take in. But thank you for sharing that with me.”
In some way, it made me feel better. I guess hearing how his situation was a lot harder than mine made it easier for me to get over what I was going through. That didn’t mean that what I was feeling wasn’t valid. It just meant that maybe I should look at this in a different way.
