“Oh dear! I don’t need anything from you right now. Just expect me in your house next week. And if you try to stop me, I will expose your beastly secret to the world, and you know what that means for you.”
Before I could respond, the call ended abruptly. The silence rang loudly in my ears. I blinked twice, struggling to digest everything that had just happened. One problem after another, just when I thought I had control, another storm appeared.
