Chapter 23: Messing with Me
Samantha POV……
I lay on my bed trying to catch some sleep, but the more I tried to lure it in, the more it went out of reach. I tossed on my bed angrily, but more than anything, my mind screamed toward one particular thought, what occurred at the meeting yesterday.
Adrian’s words rang in my head continuously, “What’s going on between you and my brother?” My heart skyrocketed as the thought sank deeper. I had been trying to assure myself that everything was fine, but for some unknown reason, nothing was working.
There is no way he would discover what happened between you and Steven. Besides, it’s all in the past, I tried to comfort myself, but of course, it was all in vain.
