"Did you tell her?" Jason asked well after dawn, with all his chosen men waiting behind us.
"Tell who, what?"
"kylie. Did you tell her why you had to leave so early?"
"no. I told you why I couldn't last night. And she was still very sleepy when I left today. She will find out what needs finding out when we return. I left a note though. Hopefully, it will be enough for now."
