I felt the first wave of dizziness and reached for Elijah.
"Hey, I got you," he said soothingly. Let's get you out of here first," he said and put his arm around me.
"Don't… don't stop." I mumbled, when I felt him slowing his pace, "Don't let them catch up with us."
"Who? Who is going to catch up with us?" Elijah asked, and I sighed. I felt like I was somewhere between the present and some other dimension. And in the other dimension, men on horses chased after us.
"Don't worry about it," I said, trying to ground myself. "Just get us out of here."
"We'll find a boarding house in the next town. Do you think you can hold on?" Jason asked, and I nodded, but quickly regretted the action, because it only made me dizzy.
