"I need to go into town and see how bad things were for myself." I told Kylie the next morning, and she looked at me for the longest time before nodding.
"Let me just get my stuff, I'll come with you." Kylie said, rising from the bed, and I blinked in confusion.
When she got back from collecting her clothes from the wardrobe, she beamed.
"ready." she said, and I shook my head.
"you're not coming with me, Ky."
