Everything suddenly went black, but when the light returned, it was nighttime, and I was standing at the top of a mountain.
I inhaled and exhaled as I watched the trees swerve with the wind, and the coven witches chanting at a distance. They were magnifying my powers with every word.
"Soon enough. I will conquer everything." I was the one who spoke. But the voice wasn't mine. This way of thinking didn't belong to me.
"Master." one of the witches said, walking toward me.
When I turned to her, she bowed.
"It is time." I heard her say, and I felt my lips turn upward.
"Then let us go." I followed her to the circle the witches had made.
One of the witches brought me a goblet, and when I took it, I inhaled the blood of the one who could cure all.
