Chapter Fourteen A steady rumble of voices woke Victoria. She cracked open sleep-heavy eyes. It had been well past midnight when she’d finished packing the gear they would need today and it felt as though she had only slept for minutes, although her dreams had been filled with visions of Dan and what in particular Dan was doing to her. She wrestled her arms out of the sleeping bag and blinked the numbers on her wrist-watch into focus. 6:08 a.m. From the sounds of it the crew were well into doing what they had to do. Even though she had just woken, she wasn’t listening to the first sounds of a camp coming to life. She stumbled from her cot and poked her head out of the front tent flaps. ‘Oh good, you’re up. Grab yourself some breakfast and a shower. We’ll be ready to leave in an hour. Y
