Warm light fell from the sky.
"Volcano Core is not a place," Pip said softly. "It is a hidden cage."
Aira looked at the big rabbit. Her green stone glowed on her chest. "Who is locked inside?"
Pip moved to a dark stone wall. A giant tree stood there with a hollow space.
"Quick, hide here!" Pip said.
The ground shook hard.
CRASH! The earth opened.
Heat rose from below.
A big door lifted from the glowing rock. Thick metal rings were around it. Each ring had bright marks.
Aira could not read the marks.
"THE JUNGLE KING'S CAGE," Pip whispered.
Aira felt fear. Behind the metal bars... shapes moved. Tall beings with horns. Eyes like old stars.
One shape hit the bars. Its voice echoed.
"Daughter of Sky... help us..."
Aira stepped back. "Who are you?"
"ANCIENTS," the shape said. "The Jungle King locked us here for 10,000 years."
Aira's green stone cracked more. A new mark appeared.
Pip touched her leg. "I brought you to save a world. But not which one."
Aira's heart felt cold. "You mean..."
CRASH! The sky c***k flashed. Red light turned dark.
"6 DAYS 22 HOURS"
A choice came to Aira's mind:
1. Break the rings. Free the Ancients. Save World 2. But harm Earth.
2. Leave them locked. Save Earth. But let World 2 fade.
The Ancient looked at her. "Choose, Daughter of Sky."
Aira held her green stone tight.
"I choose path 3," her voice shook.
"Path 3?" Pip asked, scared.
Aira smiled. Brave.
"I open this cage wide. All of it."
A new plan came to her mind. The Black Sahara did not know it. Aira was unsure if it would work. But she had to try.
The volcano made a deep sound.
