The next few weeks were a blur of appointments with Dr Brand to monitor mine and the pups’ health post wolfsbane, and I was glad to say that she gave us all the all-clear after two weeks. The pups were growing like crazy. The bump was getting harder and harder to hide, and nausea in the morning was kicking my ass, but Dante was always here to hold my hair and rub my back until it passed.
Dante was terrific throughout my recovery and beyond. Although he was starting to turn into my shadow, he wouldn’t let me out of his sight.
