Princess Ayla
After falling asleep during my conversation with Nate and Xander, I was surprised to learn I could go home if I got up to walk. I was more than eager to get home and sleep in Nate’s arms. And the beeping of the monitor was driving me crazy. After eating some soup and a bun, a nurse came in and unhooked everything. I felt free once all the tubes were removed from my body. After she was done, Nate came back to help me take my first steps. First, he wrapped a long robe around me, and then I laced my arm around his. I was unsteady at first and quickly winded. My chest became tight with the quickness of my pulse. I felt weak, but I didn’t give up, even after I was left breathless, clenching my chest.
The doctor gave me orders to rest and eat but ultimately said I could go home,
