The Prophecy

Chapter 9: The Prophecy The first light of dawn appeared as Luna, Mia, Damon, and Adrian left the forest. They traveled in silence until an ancient stone structure appeared between the trees. Luna stopped. “What is this?” Adrian pointed toward the broken entrance. “The Moon Queen Temple.” Luna's silver mark immediately began to glow. Damon noticed. “It recognizes you.” They entered the temple. Dust covered the ancient walls, but strange silver symbols still shone faintly in the darkness. Luna placed her hand against one of them. The entire temple trembled. A hidden door slowly opened. Behind it was a massive stone chamber. In the center stood an ancient book covered in silver markings. Adrian approached it carefully. “This book has been protected for centuries.” Luna reached toward it. The moment her fingers touched the cover, the book opened by itself. A powerful voice filled the chamber. “When the Moon Queen awakens, the wolves will divide.” Luna's breath caught. The voice continued. “One Alpha will seek to possess her. Another will protect her. But only the Queen can decide her fate.” Luna looked at Damon. Then she remembered Kael. “Is that the prophecy?” Adrian nodded. “There is more.” The pages turned by themselves. A final message appeared. “The Queen must choose not the Alpha who claims her, but the one who allows her to be free.” Silence filled the chamber. Damon looked at Luna but said nothing. Luna stared at the words. For the first time, she understood. Her destiny wasn't simply about finding a mate. It was about choosing who she wanted to become. Suddenly, a loud crash came from outside. Adrian's head snapped toward the entrance. “They found us.” Damon's eyes turned dark. “How many?” Adrian listened carefully. “Too many.” Luna closed the ancient book. “Then let them come.” Damon looked at her in surprise. The frightened woman who had left Blackthorn territory was gone. Something stronger had awakened inside her. Outside, dozens of wolves surrounded the temple. And at the front of them stood a familiar figure. Kael. His eyes were fixed on the temple entrance. “Luna,” he whispered. “I've come to take you home.” To be continued…
