As soon as David had gotten the twins stabilized he came outside the room and I had been pacing around panicking the whole time we were there. Sara and Wendy were sitting there watching me, not knowing what to say. They knew that I was blaming myself. I did this to them. I didn’t know how I did this, but I did. I did this to them and they were in the clinic because of me. “How are they?” I asked, racing over to David. “They’re gonna be fine. I gave them some fluids through an IV and they are improving. They passed out because they knew that they needed to use every bit of energy they had to use the mate bond.” David said. “So, this was my fault.” I said. “No. It wasn’t. You didn’t know what you were doing. It was your first shift and no one knows anything about white wolves.”
