"Miss, we know you were awake. Just open your eyes. Don't you want to know what happened to you?"
The voice was soft and breathy, but unmistakably male. I slowly opened one eye to see two men looking at me in amusement. One of them had a black top and the other one was a deep blond. Both were solidly built, just under the bulky models on the covers of the sports magazines.
Yes, it was decidedly childish of me to close my eyes again under the watchful eyes of the men next to my bed. With a slight smile, I opened both eyes.
"Yes, please. What am I doing here in the hospital? I remember being involved in a collision and being thrown from the back of the vehicle," I answered quietly. "But there were other people in the car. How did they fare?"
