These words from Janice kept spinning in my head, haunting me.
Long after she had drifted off to sleep beside me, I was still awake thinking about their meaning. The perfect mate, how do I do that? I wasn't a werewolf and no one here was mated. Not Zane, not even Beta Cleo.
The only ones who were kind of mated were Janice and Beta Eric. But they weren't exactly the best examples. I needed to find someone else to help me with this, maybe a couple that had been happily mated for years. Or two people with extensive knowledge of the subject, then nothing could go awry.
