Lauren charged towards Shawn with her arm raised. But before the slap could landed, someone had already grabbed her arm in mid-air.
One of the bodyguards had stepped in front of Shawn, caught her hand and swing it away.
Lauren staggered from the force and with a loud shriek, landed on the floor awkwardly. And fell in a terrible position.
“Oh, ow! My back, that hurts... it’s probably broken... ” She moaned in agony on the floor.
“Mom!” Cristina widened her eyes and hurriedly went to help her up.
Lauren had one hand on her back while her face scrunched up in pain. “Robert, you’ve got to help me with this. I can’t possibly stay in this house being bullied by him! How could I?”
