Finding Apricot Jams

Mera sighed for the umpteenth time as she walked down each path of the super mart, looking for the apricot jam she ate with Justin. She felt someone stalking her and she stylishly breathed his aura and smiled to herself.

"Zakey Flakey Wakey.. miss mommy already?" She teased without even turning. Zake was beyond stunned. Was she expecting us already? Was she that confident?

"Miss.. hi?" He called when she turned to face him. Damn! Here he was dealing with an 18 year old. "Sorry, how old are you?" He asked already depressed.

"Does my age matter? Zachariah?" She raised her brows. "Your father is from my town and he's dead. You have two beautiful sisters there as well. From another mother of course. Your mom is pregnant Zake but, the child is not a normal child. You see, before our city was attacked, some diviners told us about it and well, he took a trip. I believe he met with your mom who believes he's a soldier. Well one thing led to another and now she's pregnant. That child is gonna be like you. A boy tho, but just like you Zake." She said. Zake was stumped.

"You.. you know my dad?" He asked almost tearing up.

"Yes. He was a royal soldier. Very loyal to the throne. He looks just like you." She smiled. Zake smiled a sad one filled with tears.

"Well, what's the deal and what else do you know and also, we can't meet here hope you know that."

"I definitely do. But first, I need an apricot jam please." She said.

Zake shook his head. This metahuman didn't know where jams were kept. Zake led her to the jam section and she saw Justin.

"Jay!" She called happily. Justin immediately looked up. That voice that had been haunting his dreams. "Mera?" He called to be sure.

"In flesh baby." She smiled wider. Justin was just about to hug her when he noticed the oh so hot guy beside her. This guy looked like a greek god. He knew he was good looking but.. this guy was a huge competition.

"Oh.. Jay, this is Zake. He's my partner for the mystery project. He and his girlfriend Allison. Though she's not here currently." Mera said.

Justin released a breath he didn't know he was holding.

"Hey." He smiled a bit. Zake could only nod. If this was Mera's boyfriend, then they're a good match' Zake thought.

"Soooo.. what are you doing here anyway?" Justin asked, pulling Mera from Zake.

"I'm here on a hunt for some apricot jam!" She exclaimed.

"Oohh.. I initiated you real quick huh? Turns out, I'm also getting some jams. I'm buying a carton this time around." He said.

"Buy 3 then." Mera replied.

"3?"

"1 for you, 2 for me." She explained like he should've gotten it without explanation.

"Oh.. that's okay. I could buy 5. 2 for me and 3 for you. How's that?" He winked.

"Perfect." Mera whispered.

Zake watched them flirt around the whole mall and wondered if he made the right choice in coming out to meet an 18 year old. He sighed and rubbed his nose bridge.

"Jay.. I'll be coming home tonight. For now, I've to discuss plans with Zake and his girlfriend." She smiled.

Justin could only nod as they approached his car.

"Hey, can I have two jars of jams for now? I'm very starved." She groaned. Justin wasted no time in giving her.
