"So, Flakey.. can you teleport?" Mera asked Zake. "It's Zake and no, I cannot teleport. I don't even know my powers. Except the palm light stuff." He answered. "We have a lot of work to do then. What about your girl?" "Allison is not my girlfriend." He argued "Oh but she is. She loves you, you love her." Mera said. "Let's just do what we came for." Zake sighed. "Suit yourself." Mera smiled a half smile. Zake rubbed the tip of his nose in exhaustion. Mera took Zake to a small house in Delhi hills. She had chosen that place because it was on the outskirts of Celceli town and very close to the Ohio river. It was a quick way of escape for them anyway. Justin's house was far back in Wyoming which was an hour drive from Celceli. As she unlocked the door, she opened it and what welcomed Zake was a purplish blue force field. "Woah. What's this?" He asked. "It's a protection field. It's of both science and magic, hence the color. It's sound proof. We can't hear out and they can't hear in. Unallowed guests will be burned to death as well." She explained as she typed in the password which Zake couldn't see. "Sooo.. how do we know if whoever is at the door is for us?" He asked. "That's the reason for this meeting. I don't usually come here except during the night and by then, I can easily follow through the hills and go out. But it's day and people are all around and watching." She explained. "You haven't answered me." Zake pointed out. "I know Flakey. I'm saying we're all going to get the password and so anyone who's for us can have access to the house." "Ooh. I get. But, isn't there someone who could destroy the field?" Zake finally voiced out his fear. "Not even my queen mother can do that. A field can only be destroyed by the creator. Any other person who tries is only risking their life." "Now that's swell!" Zake grinned as the field disappeared. They both entered and the field appeared again, the door shutting behind it as well. "So, what's the haps?" He asked. "Well Zake, I think I know who's behind this whole thing." She started. "Dr. Fhit?" Zake asked. "Nope. Not him. It's someone else. Someone's working for him. See, Fhit is working for someone, but Fhit has his own agenda. So, someone who's working for Fhit also has their own agenda and we can't fight the person straight up. We have to fight Fhit's boss first. Giving Fhit the dream he wants, then we destroy Fhit and their associates.. then, the person we're looking for will come after us." She explained. "How do you know all these?" He asked. "Hey! Not only your girlfriend has the gift of perceiving!" She puffed her cheeks. "Woah woah! No need to get all feisty!" "Hmph!" "What's your name anyway?" He asked. "Aridialle." She replied. "No way! Aridialle? As in the mystery princess of the sea??" Zake asked too excitedly. Now a grown up man bring excited about a princess wasn't something we could see everyday. Was it? Hell no! "Yyeah." Mera stuttered. "Dad used to tell me stories about you every night. He would tell me about how your birth brought about strength in the kingdom, good fortune, wealth and how beautiful you were that so many men came to be betrothed to you and how your father the king would reject them until one person came and had his son betrothed to you. People say he's your father's friend but he wasn't that rich.. no one really knew. Dad would always tell me different stories about you whenever he came visiting. Wow!" Zake was stunned. His childhood hero was seated before him and he was going to join her save the world. All Mera could do was blink. "Er.. okay. But people on earth know me as Merari." "No sweat!" He smiled. "Zake, first of all, I need all the files about everyone they has ever been to Fhit's lab. From the background check to the test results and even prison routine or job routine. I also need a map of the whole place. Can you do that?" She asked. "Mera..ri. Merari." He corrected himself immediately. For she was a princess. "Just call me Mera, Zake." She smiled. "Okay! Mera, it would be a hell lot difficult to do that for now because after your first, well planned attack, you've given Fhit a scare and he's going to be extra precautious for now. Maybe after a few weeks yeah?" "Zake, we need to build our ally. We don't have much time again. Their next attack to our people is fast approaching and I need to protect them. I need to protect the throne." Mera complained sadly. "Mera.." Zake called softly. "You're my hero princess and I know you can do everything even in a day. I know a few workers you could trust. My siblings also have superhuman abilities. I don't know why but it seems like having something to do with a sea creature turns you to be quite like them sorta. None of my siblings are normal. Even Diadra who seems to be normal isn't." He explained. "I don't want a bunch of kids Zake!" Mera sighed. "Diadra who's the current youngest is 16." Zake said almost annoyed that this 18 year old called his siblings kids. "How many are they?" She asked. "3." He replied. "Ages and names?" "Danielle is 20, Zeke is 18 and Diadra is 16." He answered. "Zeke?" "Ezekiel." He explained. "No.. I mean, I know Zeke. He's my senior." She smiled a bit. "Senior? How old are you?" "Oh c'mon. I'll be 18 by July." She smiled. Exams were approaching anyway. This July she'd be entering her final year and Zeke would be graduating. "f**k s**t!" "What?" "You're 17?" "So? what's wrong with being 17?" "N nothing.. nothing at all!" "Better!" Zake heaved a sigh of relief. He just angered his hero princess. Her eyes turned really scary and dark. "So.. who are you hiring?" He smiled. "I'll have to test them first. I need to set up my testing place." She said. "Well, what do you need?" "I know what I need and how to get them. I just want you to bring your girl with your siblings and those people you talked about." Mera smiled. Her smile was very bright and one could imagine flowers blooming behind her. Zake found himself smiling in return. "What time?" "7 pm, Friday night." She replied. "Friday night? Guy, you're really planned out huh?" Zake smirked. "Of course." She smiled wider and Zake could see glitters falling over the already blooming flowers. Damn was she hypnotizing.
