We let the pilferers pass as we headed toward the other side of the forest, I could feel the tension in the way Connor killed the bushes with the blade. “What?” I hesitantly asked in anticipation of another interrogation. “Were you really going to hurt them?” Connor asked me as her blade savagely killed the wildlife. “Yes,” I responded without reluctance. “Why harm someone when you don't have to?” “You don't understand, Connor.
