'How come you know all of these? I thought you said you're new here..' 'Let's say it's all thanks to my supernatural ability' he smiled. Diane soon parted ways with him and headed to Chef Eric's restaurant where she would resume her work. Except she didn't know what attack was waiting on her. ~~ 'What were you trying to insinuate with your unnecessary speech out there?' Xavier turned his fiery red eyes on his father's pixilated mate, the rage he felt earlier igniting the more. 'Trying to let the pack know what it took you to finally claim your Luna, Xavier. Now, you wouldn't get any silly idea and try to push her away knowing you're being monitored by the watchful eyes of your pack members..' Xavier snorted. 'I'm the Alpha, Melanie! No matter what decision I make, they're compelled to abide by it whether or not it suits them!' 'Let's see then. What's more powerful, the will of the pack or the authoritative, arrogant Xavier whose Alpha's position is undeserving!' she hissed. 'Both of you!!! That's enough!' The powerful authority that radiated off that words was enough to make the room go dead silent. Although, the ex Alpha of the pack, Xavier's father's still able to command respect in crucial times and Xavier respected this because he's his father! Intimidating glares not leaving the irritated eyes of Luna Melanie, Xavier waited for his father to speak. 'Xavier!!' He boomed. 'You really do not show enough respect to your own mother? Do you realize the number of wolves eavesdropping on this argument?!!! Soon, the word would spread and the whole pack will continue to rant about your hatred for each other!. Do you not get tired of this?!' he turned to his mate mid sentence. 'And as for you, Melanie. I think that's enough. It's time for you to submit to the fact that Ace is not the Alpha. Stop trying to make a big deal out of this situation. It'll get you no where. You also do not want to ignite hate between both of our sons'. She swallowed hard, her gaze wavering as they left Xavier's. 'I'm sorry, Scott. I didn't mean to' She said soberly, walking close to wear Scott stood. Xavier snarled. He's no fool to notice the apology was fake. She would do it over again once another opportunity strikes. She's a threat to him, one that's meant to be eliminated. Unfortunately, she had to be his father's mate. Xavier caught a whiff of Ace's scent. It was faint but enough to prove that he was actually here moments ago, possibly witnessed the heated argument they had. Xavier ran his hands through his head, his finger unconsciously curling the tip of his blonde hair... His wolf as well was exhausted from the whole today's scenario. It squirmed within, trying to break out, fight for control. It was that point Xavier realized he actually hadn't shifted in two weeks. He'd been caught up in the drama about mates and families to tend to his own mate. Concluding it would be perfect to go shift in the night, when the moon's out, he headed to his office to handle matters concerning the pack. ~~~ Ace walked down the street of the pack, heading to 'The raisin' restaurant, intending to rant to his uncle about the drama that's going on in the house between of course, his beloved mother and brother. Sometimes, he wondered if his mother ever took time to consider how he literally feels whenever she tries to make him look like the perfect wolf worthy to be the Alpha. As a matter of factly, he does not even fancy the god-damned title!.. He reached the facade of the restaurant in minutes, improvising with some wolf speed. He noticed something was off once he entered the interior. It was empty but not quiet. He could hear noises, gasps and cries coming from within coupled with the mixed scent of anger, happiness, submission. Amidst all these emotions, one was distinct. Sheer Terror . And it was coming from the same place. His mind reeled and without hesitation, he made his way into the private section of the restaurant. The kitchen. Where no one was allowed in except for staff. What played before him made him infuriated. She was there.. in the midst of about six females. Four of which held kitchen utensils... Spatula.. a small sized non sticky pan, a turning stick and serving spoon while the rest of the two had their claws drawn.. In the center was the object of their bully, Diane. She laid there, sobbing helplessly, blood stains smeared on her shirt, visible lines of cuts which were slowly healing. Ace's mind raced. How long had she been in this state that her wolf is now weak and can't heal at the normal fast space. One loud growl into the air was enough to impose the fear in them . They all froze, looking towards his direction. 'What the hell are you doing to her!'. One which seemed to be the bravest lifted her chin adamantly. 'She bullied us first. We had to reach her a lesson!' 'How dare you lay those filthy hands of yours on her!' His voice came out dangerously low this time. Diane struggled to rise to her feet. Concerned to not appear weak in front of the Alpha's brother. She waved her hand to get his attention. 'I...'m f...' she tried to assure him she's alright. At least, he came in the right time and the beatings stopped already. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to finish her sentence with her miserably dry throat. Diane's eyes stretched in distinct horror when she saw the mostly calm, friendly Ace stare at everyone in the room frenziedly. His first target was the girl who had lied about Diane being the first to bully them. He lurched at her, grabbing her throat, tightening his fists around it. His eyes had a dangerous silver glint, one that feared Diane herself. He drew out his claws and sank it in both sides of her neck, causing blood to gush out. Her feet flung itself in the air continuously as she tried to get off Ace's grip but he was much more stronger. The other girls stared with fright...
