CHAPTER TWO

James Anderson was the second son of the Anderson family and the new CEO of the company where Samantha works. This same company is being owned by the Anderson family. They are the richest family in the whole of New York City.

He walked into the company with an expressionless face but then he locked eyes with Samantha and smirked evily.

James had been out of the country country for some years and had just recently returned based on his mother's behalf. And upon his arrival, he was given a company to handle in order to show his competence. All through his life, he has always been seen as a loser amongst the Anderson family although he was always referred to as a loser, he is also the richest member of the family. Women do flock around him because of his wealth and looks. With just a snap of the finger, women would run coming to him. When it comes to looks, James Anderson got it a 100%. He had won face of America for four times and New York city's most handsome man for six years in a row.

He walked majestically into his office and admired it. The board members really did a good job in making the office to be upto his taste and satisfaction. He was indeed pleased.

"Get me the Secretary". He ordered Sanchez his assistant.

Inside Samantha's office, she was standing and pacing around the office with a look of concern on bodly expressed on her face while Cherry was just sitting down, not noticing her friend's look and kept on talking.

"OMG Sam, he is soo handsome. I really wanna be cuddled into those amazing hands of it oh God". Cherry daydreamed and then she finally noticed Samantha's look.

"Girl why did you scream that much when you saw James Anderson".

"Cause that was the guy I told you that I met this morning".

"What guy?".

"You dumb head,the one I told you that I spilled coffee on and exchanged words with this morning".

"What (gasps)".

"Yes it's really him and...".

"And what, continue".

"He.... He".

"Sam what's wrong, what else did he do. Oh know, you're crying. Holy moly girl what's wrong".

"He's Lilly's Father the guy I slept with". Samantha said amidst tears.

"Holy s**t". Cherry cursed

"Yes, Cherry yes. It is him, I just remembered the face".

"Umm girl, it's okay. You just have to calm down. You've been doing alright for a long time now, so common girl. But hold up, isn't this a good thing".

"No, no Cherry it'd not. Cherry promise me that you won't tell anyone about who Lilly's Father is, not even my parents. Promise me".

"This is a tough decision Sam but hey I signed up for this when I agreed to be your best friend. So I promise okay. I won't tell anyone but what's wrong in telling James himself".

"Everything is wrong Cherry. I can't let anyone else find out about my baby cause it might cause danger to her". Samantha said trying not to sound scared.

Knock!! Knock!!.

"Mr Anderson requests your presence miss secretary". Sanchez said and left.

"s**t, I totally forgot that I was his secretary. Well duty calls girl. Wish me good luck".

"You got this". Cherry said and Samantha left.

She approached his office door and breathed in, she was really scared to go in but she has to. She sighed and then walked in.

"Good morning sir".

"Ah my secretary (chuckles) it's nice meeting you again miss Page".

"It's not Page sir, it's Paige". Samantha corrected

"Oh really, well I don't care so tell me, what's my schedule like today".

"You won't be having any meetings today, I'll just have to show you around the company".

"Nah, I think I'm good. So since I don't have anything to do I'll just rest".

"If you say so. I'd like to take my leave".

"Oh not yet miss Page".

"It's Paige sir". she said inaudibly

"Since you didn't allow me to get my coffee in the morning, why don't you go get it fur me as my secretary". He said and didn't wait for Samantha's reply before looking into some files. Samantha grumbled as she left his office, already feeling frustrated.

"God I hate this job".

She got the coffee for him and he was about sipping it when Sanchez stopped him".

"Did you add either sugar or milk in it".

"Yes".

"Really, can't you do your work as a secretary properly". James thundered

"I'm so sorry. I didn't know you don't like sugar or milk in your coffee. I'll go get another one".

"You better do. Add some ginger in it". he said as Samantha hurriedly left his office.

"What the hell. Who drinks coffee with ginger. Now I'm really convinced that this guy is indeed a weirdo".

After the day's work, Samantha was already looking sick. James and Sanchez had drained the little life she had out of her. She couldn't even stand properly.

"I so f*****g hate you James Anderson". She screamed.

"Hey girl woah, what's wrong with you. You really look like trash".

"It's your stupid boss. He so arrogant, rude and wicked and ahhh". Samantha screamed about to turn red

"Calm down girl. It's alright. Come I'll take you home". Cherry told her and they both left.

The next morning, Samantha hurriedly went to the office before James could come to work. She had fixed a meeting with the office board members and had to come early to meet with them. She requested that a new secretary should be gotten fur James Anderson.

"And why should that be done".

"I can't continue working for him. Mr James Anderson. Please I plead that I should be changed".

"Mrs Samantha Page do you...".

"It's Paige sir".

"Do not interrupt. Miss Samantha Paige do you understand that removing you as Mr Anderson's secretary means firing you from this company".

"What".

"Yes. We can't promote you neither can you be demoted. So the choice is yours to make".

After about a few minutes of silence, Samantha decided to quit her job in order for her not to work with James Anderson.

Well miss Samantha Paige while you were deliberating whether or not you would like to leave, we got a call that you can't quit your work as Mr Anderson's secretary.

"What".

Samantha screamed wondering who could have called the board.
