"Yes miss Paige. You can't be fired neither can you quit" one of the members told her.
"Who gave such order".
"Mr James Anderson".
"s**t". she cursed as she angrily left for James'office ready to destroy James. He had messed with the wrong girl. She pushed the door open and barged into his office angrily.
"Really who the hell do you think you are to tell the board members to cancel my request".
"Miss Page. Are you actually trying to quit your job when you still owe me some money".
"What are you talking about".
"The suit you ruined yesterday, how much do you think it costs".
"(Scoffs) are you actually being serious right now. Like why would I pay for that".
"I actually have the security footage of the incident and if we look closely, we can actually see that you were the one at fault. And I can actually sue you for that".
"Gosh seriously. Okay (calms down after realizing that she was actually the one at fault) how much does the damn suit costs".
"Miss Samantha Page (chuckles) Sanchez?".
"Sir".
"Why don't you tell our dear rich miss here how much the suit she ruined costs".
"The suit costs $50,000 miss Samantha".
"You have got to be kidding me right".
"Do I look like I'm joking, now you have to choose either you pay me money right now or you continue working here Miss Page".
"f**k you". She said and left angrily. Both James and Sanchez began laughing at her.
"Hey what's up, you're really boiling right now". Cherry asked.
"I just feel like killing that brainless dude in there".
"Woah, calm down, what happened".
Samantha began to narrate her whole ordeal with James and as she narrated it, one could easily see that she was boiling in anger.
"Wow, that's crazy. $50,000 for a single suit. What is it made of gold. Seriously, it's alright girl just forget about it. Just try and work with him okay. Atleast if you don't want to work, atleast do it for Lilly, do it for your dad's health".
Samantha's dad has been suffering from a heart disease for a very long time and the doctors had requested a huge amount of money before they can commence treatment. So she couldn't easily leave her job. She has to make a lot of money so she can pay for her father's surgery and also take care of her daughter. She was stuck in the middle of the road and there's no way for her to go.
"Thanks Cherry, you're the best". Cherry has always being with her even in her most toughest times. She really loved Cherry. In cherry she saw a role model to look up to.
"Welcome girlfriend".
During lunch break at the office, Samantha and Cherry were having their lunch and chatting happily when Samantha's phone rang.
"My office now". The voice at the other end said immediately she answered the call. Judging by the look on her face, one could tell who the caller is
"Let me guess, James".
"Yep, the devil himself".
"It's alright girl, you got this". Samantha hurriedly rushed to James office.
"You called for me".
"Why didn't you tell me that I would be having a photoshoot today at the Origin company. And why didn't you tell me that I have a meeting with the CEO of P and P agency. Is that how you do your job here as a secretary. Being careless of your duty huh miss Paige". James angrily said immediately Samantha walked into the office. He didn't even let her speak. With the way he called her last name properly, Samantha knew that he was really angry.
"I'm... I'm really sorry sir, I forgot and trust me it wasn't intentional".
"Ofcourse it wasn't intentional, you know what. I've made some interesting rules that would help us both to stay comfortable in this company."
"Ru... Rules".
"Yes rules, I can't just sit back and watch you behave the way you want in my company. So shut the f**k up and listen.
"Rule one: you must be in office before I do. I came to work today and didn't see you at your table only to find out that you had gone to meet the office board members. I mean what sort of secretary behave the way you do. You don't pay any form of respect to your boss.
Rule two: my coffee should be kepy on my desk. It shouldn't be hot neither should it be cold. Just on a normal temperature. No milk and no sugar just ginger. I always love drinking coffee in the morning before I commence my working activity.
"Rule three: once you see that I'm walking into my office in the morning, you ought to walk with me and read out all my schedules to me.
Rule four: you eat only when I'm done eating. And lastly,
Rule five: you must go with me anywhere I want to go and you must always be ready.
Just follow these few simple rules and we're good to go, these are the works of a secretary. These are all what you're meant to do but since you don't know how to do your job properly, I decided to teach you and impact some good senses into you Miss Paige. So now I'm done, any questions".
"Yes sir, what...". Samantha was about saying but was cut short by James.
"Good no questions. Sanchez let's head over to Origin company and have that photoshoot and you (referring to Samantha) Do not keep me waiting. He said and left.
"Ummm where are you going to". Cherry asked Samantha as she saw her rushing out from James office
"I have to go with "James" to go take some photoshoot".
"But he just drove off now".
"What".
"Yep, so what are you going to do".
"That guy is so evil". As they were both talking, a message popped up from her phone. It was from James and it read "run with your legs and don't be late".
"I hate you James Anderson". She screamed
"What's the problem". She showed Cherry the message and didn't wait to get a reply from her before she rushed out.
As she ran, she wondered if she was going to make it in time.
