Chapter one

Feeling the natural breeze with the sunlight hits differently when you're reading a spicy romance novel. I lay on my belly, flopping my two feet in excitement cause this friction man is getting me too excited, and HE'S NOT EVEN REALLLLLL!! Can you believe that?. I wonder if I would meet that type of person in real life and get all the treatment that this female lead is getting. I have red eyes for good things only, so I am free to say I want this, I need that, and I get it. "TIMORA, come here," my mother shouted from the kitchen I let out a long sigh because she always called me, and not her favorite daughter. I'm tired. I can't always devote all my energy to work for these people. I drop my phone on the bed and drag myself to the kitchen. I leaned on the counter and stared at her for a moment. "Yes, Miss Kim," I answered my mother after a short period of time. Yes, she is my real biological mother, but I was told from a young age not to call her mother, mommy, mum, or momma, so as I respect her, I say Miss Kim. She didn't turn around to look me in the face nor even answered me. “Take that money and give it to your granny” she said, without a glance. I roll my eyes and take up the money “Mommy,” a voice said, as I turned around, seeing my older sister walking past me to her mother. I could feel her mother smile at her and ofc I heard she answered in a sweet voice “Yes Zora” I shake my head and walk back to my room, and pick up my phone from the bed, as I am about to leave the room, here my sister shows up at my doorway. “Mora, are you good? Where are you going?” Zora said, smiling and looking a little too concerned but I don't need her pity. “My granny yard,” I said, I pushed past her and didn't even bother to ask why. I leave the house feeling disappointed because I have always wanted to feel a mother's love, but nah, my so-called mother doesn't even want to look me in the eyes. I want to go up the street where a shop is with a group of men and cars parked up. People are smoking, laughing, chatting with each other, and playing board games. Anybody can know this is Jamaica cause this is the only place I know that has a crowd like this in every street or community you go to. I walked over to the shop and saw a guy sitting on the rum crate, smoking and typing away on his phone; he didn't even look up to see who just come in. My cousin Jada got up from the counter and leaned on it, waiting for me to say something, but instead of saying something, I opened the door to enter the side she's on, then placed a loud slap on her arm, then I laughed, causing her to laugh and slap me back. “You couldn't say something instead of beating me,” Jada said, pushing me lightly and I just smiled. “No, I couldn't because I did want to release my anger on you” I said, in a joking tone. She looked at me knowing why I just said that. “Alright joke aside, what happened?” Jada said, in a serious tone, pulling the folding chair for me to sit down. I sat down and explained everything to her, and yes, I could feel the heat. “Eeh, so why doesn't she like you?” I heard a voice coming from the shop's back doorway. I look around to see my other cousin who is a boy, “Jordan!!” I said, in excitement, causing me to run out of my seat, jump, and hug him tight. “A long time you've seen me” Jordan said, as we broke the hug apart. “A truth that” I said, in agreement with him while Jada is selling a man something “That's why you need to start coming up here a day, your mother doesn't even care if you're gone missing,” Jada jumped in our conversation and she knows why I don't even leave my house unless I am going to school, which I am gonna start next week. “No, I want to read my book in peace plus Zora's mother probably kicks me out. I said, sitting down on the chair, knowing that I am on the thin line with her. Yeah, she is planning on it because her boyfriend doesn't like seeing me, too, sad right? The reason is so unbelievable, too. I did not even ask for it either.
