Zebrik's POV
We got back to the room, and Abby went off to soak in the tub. She wanted some time to herself with Burnt, processing everything. We let Doctor Carson know everything was going better than planned, and he released Ruzzle. I took the opportunity to go down to my office and get a pack update from Rome, which was uneventful. After signing off on some orders, I headed back to my suite when I got a link from Abby.
"Hey, you. So, Burnt is asleep. She is very impressed with Atrous. She doesn't want to talk about the mate bond or anything mate-related—she actually wants me to understand where she is coming from. She even wanted to take the wolfsbane tonight, with the pill, of course, but she said she needed to rest after today."
Wow, I thought. I didn’t see that one coming.
