"You know, in some lesser known tales of Greek mythology, it is said that Aphrodite was actually turned into Medusa the Gorgon," Carl told Violet as they drove toward their mysterious destination.
"Why?" Violet asked. She knew very little about Greek Mythology but found Carl's telling of it fascinating.
He shrugged his shoulders before placing his right hand on her thigh and rubbing.
"Who knows?" he questioned. "The Gods were always punishing someone. It's what Gods do. Maybe they punished her for her everlasting youth and beauty or for the fact that though she was married, she had many lovers. Some of them human even. Resulted in a few demi-gods. She even had to share Adonis with another female Goddess when she found out how pretty he was at his birth."
