Chapter 13 – Buccaneer
DAYLIGHT WAS SNEAKING through the curtains when Cole opened his eyes. It was still early, but the sun had climbed up and over the peaks inland and to the east. The air conditioning hummed and the room was still dark save for a few random rays of dancing light. He was on his side, facing away from Isabella. Her right arm was draped across his torso, and her hand was flat against his collarbone. He rolled back towards Isabella and felt her warm body settle against his.
