Chapter 10

Gabby met Lisa at the door, she was standing there as if she was seriously thinking about something.

'what's wrong with her' she wondered,

"what's wrong Lisa" Gabby asked looking so consent.

"Actually, I have something to tell you and Adina"

"why what happened" Gabby open the front door as she asked Lisa what was wrong with her. Carrying her own problem Gabby have forgotten what they asked Lisa to do.

They both walk slowly to the hall, like a little child who've got something to explain to their scary parent.

Adina was at the kitchen but noticing they were in she joined them with a smile, she didn't stop smiling even after noticing their mood.

"so before you all start to say what have been making you guys look like fishes removed from their place I'll like to say to say mine first"

they turned to her wondering what she wanted to say, Adina wasn't the type of friend who hide to anything, sometimes it get them into trouble but who cares, they love her, she's always ready to listen though she's annoying sometimes, she always brighten the mood.

"so yesterday, at the club, after Gabby you vanished like a ghost" Ghost wisphered her sorry to her friends.

"well, you know we're going to take a light sorry, girl, you got to do something after all, is my birthday today and you vanished the night before that". Adina said to Gabby to add up the burning fire.

"so as I was saying, after you vanished, Lisa and I separated to search for your ass..."

"Addy get straight to the point and stop making her feel uncomfortable" Lisa defended Gabby.

"I'm fine though" Gabby whispered, it was clear they were not angry but frustrated, each of had their own problem.

"I had a one night stand"

The room became quiet after Adina said that.

"You smashed it girl" Lisa laugh " that why I didn't see you too after searching for so long".

"um.. Lisa , I don't think she's happy about it" Gabby said, after seeing Adina's mood wasn't the same anymore.

"what did the bastard do" Lisa asked ready to kill for her friend.

"well I slapped him so, am all good now" Adina said reassuring her friends with a smile. " so let's start with you Gabby how did you vanish".

Gabby stayed quiet for a while thinking about where to start and as they always are they waited patiently for her to explain

"so I told the bartender to give me his best drink, not knowing he makes his best with alcohol, I got drunk "

"you had a night stand like me" Adina teased

"Addy, allow her"

"So the bartender Alexander, he knew Lawson and I guess he called him"

"who is Lawson" Lisa asked

"Dr. Marl's friend " Gabby answered

"the scary, the one we offended" Adina asked sounding interested

"well yes, I woke up at his house and he brought me back home

"hey girl, don't try to skip the gist, I know he won't just let you go" Adina drew close to Gabby.

"we just kissed"

"why am I the unlucky one here" Lisa pretended to sob.

"what happened to you and Marl" Adina asked as she got the drink from the refrigerator.

" he said he won't cancel the engagement" Lisa broke news to them

" Lawson said he didn't fire us"

"I thought Marl was the boss, but it seems your Mr. handsome is the bosses boss" Adina teased.

" I was thinking about telling Dad to get you bitches a job but it seems bosses boss solve the case" Lisa countinue the teasing.

"well you guys, am not the girl he have taken home"

"jealous?" Adina asked while she pour a glass for everyone.

" Am not jealous"

"you sound like you are" Lisa responded as she drink.

"he spanked me for interfering with what he was doing"

Lisa almost choked on her drink," he did what?", she ask.

Blushing Gabby refused to repeat herself, she was embarrassed.

Adina who was now on the floor laugh stood to restore her posture.

"you're going to tell us all that happened"
