Before Alex Qi could figure out who was talking about him, he heard a series of silvery laughs coming from ahead! And then there was that very broken Chinese. "Oh, dear Wanxiang! Is your head alright? You're finally here! Poor Jack and I have been waiting for you in the parking lot for ages! But you're still such a child! Is your head alright?" The voice spoke as it walked towards Alex Qi. Alex Qi looked in the direction of the voice and saw a blonde girl in front of him, with a high nose, full lips, green eyes, and a height of over 1.7 meters, carrying a small leather backpack! She was practically a blonde version of Angelina Jolie! Alex Qi was completely petrified! While still in a daze, Alex Qi felt a hand about to touch his head. Instinctively, he pushed it away and found it was Linda, acting like a doting older sister! Touching his head—the thought sent chills down his spine. However, Linda didn't seem to notice his actions, seeing that Alex Qi was no longer in a daze! She continued, "Um, you can't completely trust old Mike's words. As for cooking and laundry, forget about it, I absolutely won't do them!" Linda's Chinese was surprisingly fluent as she said this; had she rehearsed countless times before arriving here? Linda wanted to continue, but the handsome man next to her carrying two suitcases interrupted her. "Oh, God! What did I just hear? Cooking? Linda, even if you cook, I wouldn't dare eat your so-called 'food' again. The reason I didn't die last time was probably because my strong constitution played an indispensable role." He shrugged, feigning disbelief. Alex Qi, hearing the slightly fluent Chinese, focused his attention on the man next to Linda! It was blonde hair again, a high-bridged nose, a sharply defined face, sunglasses, an unzipped black jacket over a tight black tank top, faded jeans with a few peculiar holes, and high-top leather boots! He was also over 1.8 meters tall, looking more like a gangster than a bodyguard, though a closer look revealed a youthful innocence in his face. Listening to these two, looking at them, Alex Qi's head spun. His life from now on was likely to be a tragedy! Raising his hand to signal them to be quiet, Alex Qi asked, clinging to a sliver of hope, "Are those two Mr. Jack Nicholas Farrar and Ms. Linda Nicholas Farrar?" At that moment, Alex Qi fervently prayed that they weren't the people he had picked up, otherwise his dream life of a cute little girl, a mature woman as a maid, and a tall, imposing bodyguard would tragically turn into a life of being a stay-at-home dad! The idea was beautiful, but reality is often cruel! Alex Qi's devout prayers were abruptly interrupted! "Besides me and the beautiful, lovely Linda, would any other pretty girl bother to chat up a dull guy like you?" Linda innocently widened her green eyes, quietly looking at Alex Qi, and gave an affirmative answer. "Okay! I admit no!" Alex Qi readily admitted this fact. But... "I don't seem to fit the 'dull' stereotype at all, do I? I call myself a humorous young man!" Alex Qi thought with immense frustration. Before Alex Qi could dwell on it further, Jack's voice rang out again, "Of course, if it weren't for the old man's orders, there wouldn't be any in the world," Jack suddenly stopped, then brought his mouth close to Alex Qi's ear before continuing, "There wouldn't be any werewolves driving vampires." Jack did bring his mouth close to Alex Qi's ear, but damn it, his voice didn't decrease at all. Does bringing it close to the ear help? Doesn't that mean others can hear him? Okay! I admit it's werewolf dry humor! But I'm so cold... "Get in, get in!" Waving helplessly, Alex Qi plopped into the back seat without waiting for the two to get in or not. Linda quickly followed, and after Jack put the luggage in the trunk, she sat in the driver's seat and started the car. Alex Qi looked at Linda, puzzled. Linda shrugged and said, "Um... let the original driver take a taxi back to the company. We're going to the villa in the south of the city. We'll live there from now on; he doesn't know the place." "What? The villa in the south of the city? Our home?" Alex Qi looked astonished! "Yes, our home. You didn't know?" Linda said matter-of-factly. "Um... Mike didn't tell me! Actually, I've only been awake for a day! There are many things I don't understand!" Alex Qi admitted that it wasn't ignorance, but rather that he hadn't had time to understand the world. “I know you just woke up yesterday. Let’s go there first. It’ll be much more convenient than the city for both cultivation and other things. Let’s talk about it when we get there!” Linda ignored his explanation and instead gave him a plan of action. In the south of the city, in a villa occupying over an acre, on the first floor was a dining table. Watching Jack and Linda wolfing down their food, Alex Qi felt a pang of regret, but also a considerable sense of accomplishment. It seemed his years of single life hadn't been entirely wasted; at least he could cook a decent meal now, couldn't he? Looking closely at the five dishes on the table, aside from a plate of stir-fried beef, the rest were all fish. This was all done under Linda's coercion; even that beef dish was only allowed after Jack's constant suggestions! In this tragic life, who's whose maid? Alex Qi could only silently scream in his heart, otherwise he would surely incur Linda's wrath... "Xiang, what are you thinking about? Eat up! After you finish eating, it will be noon, and we need to hurry up and cultivate." Miss Linda offered her sincere advice to this guy who didn't pay attention to table manners, even though he was the one who directly prepared the food. "Mm," he replied softly.
