Lena stood up from her stool, her short wet hair still clinging to her neck from the earlier swim. She looked tanned and athletic in her simple black dress that hugged her toned body.
She felt restless tonight, trapped in the unsatisfying routine of her marriage.
Victor rose beside her, broad-shouldered and a ripped torso that showed through his fitted shirt. He had been her college swim teammate, and tonight his easy charm had brought back all the old energy between them. Both were married, but the spark from their competitive days clearly still pulled at them.
They slipped away together, telling the last few people they wanted one last nostalgic swim.
