Bewildered thoughts

255 Words
Henry and Darwin hurried to walk away from the lake. Since Darwin felt a little dizzy, Henry carried him on his shoulder and slowly balanced to walk. When they reached the bridge, Darwin saw it was fully crowded. His eyes widened because of great shock. That bridge was very silent when he came and after it was noisy. Sun rays flashed on all faces and they all were happy. "When did these people come here?" Darwin asked. "Ahh…. What? I don’t know. Wait…. Why do you ask that?" Still Darwin baffled Henry. He didn't even give a single reply to him and Henry found that Darwin was acting so mad. "Something might have happened to him in that lake, I'm sure," Henry thought. He withdrew Henry's support and managed to stand on his own. "Can you stand on your own?" Henry enquired. But he didn't reply. Darwin was only busy searching for someone familiar on that bridge to clarify his major doubt. "Aunt Zoe Claire!", "That's aunt Zoe, right?" he asked Henry, pointing his hand towards a woman. These boys were at one end of the bridge while Aunt Zoe was on the other end. That bridge was not too long. Aunt Zoe was Henry's neighbor. They had been neighbors for nearly ten years. She was a very soft and kind person who always welcomed Darwin, Henry and Liliana to her home to spend time with her. But, it had been a month since they all visited her home.
