My vision of the hallway blurred as if marred by poorly adjusted 3-D glasses. Leonard stood frozen, his eyes darkening, staring at us with the same hunger I’d felt from the grigori. A doorway that did not exist opened, and I sensed more creatures coming.
Kevin shoved me away, blocking my view of Leonard. “Move, Dana. Fast.”
With the guards’ help, I managed to get Marie into the back seat of the car she’d brought from Paris. Kevin sat in the passenger seat.
Marie screamed. I turned to see if there was anything I could do to help.
