Braden and Jax have words

After the film finished he drops her home, He pulls outside Aura's house and helps her out of the car, she thanks him for a day she will never forget she pulls him close and kisses him goodbye. Unknown to them Jax is outside and sees them kissing he feels jealous seeing Aura held in Braden's arms. "I will msg you when I get home," he says and waits till she was inside and drove away he noticed Jax standing in his front yard looking over to where he and Aura were standing.

He pulled over and lowered the window and said "hey." Jax came to the window and said "hi what brings you down here." he explained that he just dropped Aura off after their date with Jax saying "Oh right she never mentioned anything to me that u was going on a date ." This made Ace let out a small growl and was telling Braden that he didn't like his guy and who the hell does he think is his and needs to keep his hands and eyes of little mate Braden looked at Jax and told him that just because their mates she doesn't have to tell him everything with Jax cutting in an sayin "We are best mates, not mates and she normally does tell me everything, but since you have come on the scene Aura is acting differently, and there is something about you I don't like it's like your hiding something and I don't want Aura getting mixed up in it all and getting hurt."

Braden said he drove away leaving Jax standing there.

Driving back to the packhouse Ace was angry and was pacing back and forth he was ready to come out and attack Jax "How dare he think we would put her in any danger, I will protect her with my life, was it me or did he seem very jealous that we had her all to ourselves, seems as someone sees their friendship as a bit more, the guy has a full-blown crush on her or he in love with her." Ace ranted Braden said, "Yeah I was getting the same vibe, there is more to what he saying and I bet he hasn't told Aura his true feelings, when we get back to the pack we are going for a run, you need to calm down!" Ace agreed to say "A run is just what I need."

Jax watched as Braden's car left the street then went into his house and up to his room "Who the hell does he think he is, talking to me like that I swear I heard him growl at one point." he picked up his phone and sent a text to aura

Hi, I didn't tell you about it because it had nothing to do with you! yeah we do share things but you don't need to know about me going on a date and how do you know anyway?

well, I've just had a nice little chat with him, I was on the front when he dropped you off I saw everything, seems like you had a good date, there something off with him though I swear I heard him growl and tell me I should be happy for u and not to interfere or he will sort me out.

Aura to Jax

There is nothing wrong with him, if you gave him a chance and got to know him u would see for urself he is a decent guy, it's not my place to say anything if he wants you to know he will tell you I'm not arguing with you over him, just be happy for me can you at least do that he makes me happy and I do feel safe with him, I'm not going to choose between you two I'm goin to sleep goodnight.

Jax looked at the texts and realised he took it too far, he let his jealousy get the better of him, he thought of apologising but changed his mind because he knows he she his mad at him He sits at his desk and finishes his homework.

Braden pulls into the packhouse and parks his car in the garage, and heads to the woods while mind linking his mom and dad he is back and going for a run, his dad tells him to mindlink Alex so he ain't on his own he links Alex and waits at the edge of the woods for him, doesn't take him long to get there Braden he tells him about his date with Aura and how she met Ace and didn't freak out, and she came to the packhouse and met his mom and dad.

She was very relaxed about everything Ace says their bond is even stronger now Alex asks when she going to come again because they can all go out together and she can get to know them all. Braden said, "It was a good idea, but I have to let Ace run because he is really angry after having an unpleasant chat with her moron best mate, who by the way is in love with our mate and Ace wants him dead." Alex asked what he going to do bout Jax he said "I don't know at the moment, let's just go for a run hopefully will clear my mind." they shifted and their wolves ran into the woods. After about two hours of running through the woods, Ace was a lot calmer and Braden's mind was a lot clearer, he also forgot that he was meant to text Aura when he got back to the packhouse, he forgot due to being angry from the conversation with Jax he told Ace to head back to the house he was meant to let Aura know they were home.

He mind linked Alex and said " I'm heading back now." they got to the spot where they left their clothes, shifted back and got dressed. Braden grabbed his phone out of his jeans and saw he had five texts and two missed calls all from Aura she was worried she hadn't heard from him an it had been hours since he dropped her off he rang her she answered after one ring you could hear the panic in her voice "Where have u been, you said you would text me as soon as you got home, Jax text me saying you had words, what happened I was worried you were upset with me."

He reassured her that she hadn't done anything wrong "I'm sorry babe, after the conversation with Jax Ace was close to taking over and wanted to hurt Jax, he accused us of hiding something and we would put you in danger, Ace let out a low growl and Jax heard it, but I didn't care I told him I would die protecting you then he started being cocky about that you never told him we were going on a date and you normally tell him everything, and since I have come on the scene you have changed.

I told him that just because you're his friend you don't need to tell him everything you do, but he cut me off telling me you wasnt just friends you were best friends, I told him if he tries to do anything to interfere I will sort him out he didn't like that. I swear he has a huge crush on you or he loves you." She was quiet for a bit then spoke" He texted me telling me you had words, and told me he doesn't like you because your dangerous, I told him that you have told me all about yourself and I trust you, he also mentioned that he heard you growl I told him that if he gave you a chance to get to know you he will see you are not as bad as he thinks you are, he also asked me why I never told him about our date, and told him we may be best friends doesn't mean I have to tell him.

I got angry with him, its the second time he has acted this way he thinks he has a say in my life and I think you are right, he has a crush or in love, he has been acting strange since you started school but I can never feel the same way for him, I love him like a brother, I don't want to hurt his feelings or our friendship but I will be with whoever I choose to, he doesn't have a say." I was so proud to hear her say that, our bond is strong and no one is going to break us apart especially her best mate. I can see me an him not getting on and he is going to freak when he finds out I'm a werewolf, he better watch what he says around me or I will let Ace out to deal with him, Aura is the only one we protect no one else comes close.

Still talking to Aura on the phone and telling her she has nothing to worry about but she needs to tell Jax that she doesn't feel the same way he does. she agreed with me and said, "I will have a sit down with him." Aura also mentions to him that Chloe has been getting close to Jax, he say to her " You need to be careful with Chloe because she is in love with me and is kinda crazy, and will do anything to have me." Aura says " If she tries anything I can fight my own battles." He says "It's not that I don't think you can look after yourself, you just need to remember that she is a she-wolf, so she is a lot stronger than a human, please don't take this the wrong way I'm just looking out for you." she tells him not to worry if Chloe does try anything she will let him know hearing this he felt more relaxed.

They stayed on the phone a bit longer, he noticed she had gone quiet a heard her breathing softly, she had fallen asleep while they were talking, he stayed on the phone and got ready for bed he placed the phone on the pillow next to him listening to her sleep "Sweet dreams my love." with Ace replying sweet dreams my little mate I carnt wait till we can hold you in our arms while you sleep, Braden agreed and told him hopefully we won't have to wait long.
