Episode 3

The next morning I got up and made breakfast, jovita was still fast asleep perhaps because she had a lot to drink last night. The smell of fried egg and noodles woke her up

"hmmmm, I can already taste the food" she said yawning as she came towards the kitchen "jeez, u reek of alcohol please go and take a shower first and then u will have a taste of this delicious meal"

"like seriously babe, okay I will be out in a jiffy" 😁 "you can change into my clothes cos yours must have been wasted" "whatever, thanks" she smiled and hurried to the bathroom

When she was through we had our breakfast and then she tuned on to the news station while I went off to wash the dishes.

"What! oh my God, bel u need to see this" I heard jovita scream so loudly and I left to see what the cause of the scream was

"LOWSKY CLUBHOUSE CAUGHT FIRE LAST NIGHT AT ABOUT 10:30pm.Thirty-five people died, fifteen were injured" I read the headlines of the news

10:20 last night 😯

"Hey pretty,where are you?" "am actually out with a friend" I said" I know am not supposed to say this but I don't feel comfortable that u are hanging around that place at this time" he queried like he knew where I was "thanks but I will soon get going"

"anything can happen within the next few minutes,i just had a dream about you a while ago.Please don't stay out too long"he said and ended the call. I stood confused wondering where I heard that from🤔 and I decided to pay heed and just go home by the way it was already late and I don't usually like staying out late.

Present

I was already lost in thought that i didn't hear jovita talking (this was the same clubhouse we went last night,if I had waited for another 5 minutes I wouldn't have been here) I didn't want to admit the fact that God had used someone to spare my life rather I admitted it was my instincts and once again I ignored it and went back to continue my work.On Sunday morning I was smartly dressed on my blue corporate top and my black skirt ready for service.When I got to church I took the praise and worship. That day we were thought " besetting sin" it actually felt like I was the reason why that topic was taught.

Then it was time for altar call and I had this battle inside me deciding whether to come out or not but then I convinced myself that I was already born again and I can't be born again twice (so I thought).

After service that day I decided to take the upcoming exams for uniben.I had saved up enough to process the exams.I called my parents and yours informed them of the new update they agreed and prayed for me.

The next day being Monday I purchased the form and in two months time I was sitted in a hall staring plain black at the answer sheet in front of me.

Five minutes to submit the papers I heard a voice saying"just submit like that, it has been long you even carry book to read,if you fail you will write again" I casted that thought out and then I started singing in my mind. I wrote what I could and then a whispering voice came again" Do you believe that you can do all things through me that strengthens you" I just answered yes not realizing where or who just said that

Time up! I heard the invigilator roar

"Oh God help me, but I really want to make it this time, if you can help me I promise never to masturbate or sin again, if I do, let something bad happen"I prayed silently

Like they say, our tongue is powerful.The devil is always there to take our words and turn them into nightmares.

When the results came out, I passed I couldn't contain my joy I quickly called my mom and informed her. Both of my parents were so happy and as usual they started praying over the phone.

I decided to give jovita a surprise visit and also share the news

I picked up my phone 📱 dressed up and left.

When I got there I was about knocking when I heard someone moaning I wasn't surprise because jovita hangs out with guys alot so I thought she got herself a boyfriend

One mind told me to just go and come back but an inner spirit pushed me to open the door silently. Before I realized it I was standing at the entrance facing my best friend doing wonders to her body . I couldn't believe it😱

She suddenly stopped and stared at me with a weird look she didn't even feel angry or remorseful that I found out her secret.

I quickly turned back, slammed the door and left.
