Making a final decision

“I think you have understood everything that I have told you to do .” I cautioned the secretary one more time as she went to the door to do just as I had told her to do .

she was to put the money that I had told her to the given account . I hoped that that way , the t*****e that I was going through would end fro ever –okay , that is how I wanted .

I stared down trying to finally think if what I had done was the best think to do . But even with such a zeal, something inside me was telling me that what I had done was actually not the right thing to do at all.

When she had gotten out of the office for about one minute, I suddenly got hold of my cellphone and dialed her name. To my luck , she picked up the call after only one ring .

“First come back here, I want to tell you something .” that is all that I told her before I switched off the phone .

I was so puzzled with everything. I Actually also did not know why I had done that in the first place . I thought I had made up my mind once and for all but it is like I had not done anything at all .

“Do you even know what you are doing?” my subconscious asked me but of course I did not have any answer to do that question at the moment . I was so perplexed by the decisions that I was also making. I did not know why I was acting in such a way but I think if you were in my position then you could know why I was behaving the way that I was.

A few seconds later , a knock at my office door made me aware that she was my secretary who was actually at the door.

“Come in .” I said and she opened the door getting into the office.

“You can cancel that transaction . I will tell you when there is need.” I made up my mind and I knew this was not the best decision but what was to do. It was becoming so hard for me to finally come to a final decision.

She looked a bit puzzled but she did not have the courage to say anything to me. And that was actually good for her since I was not ready to listen to anything from anyone no matter what .

I had a lot of tension and I could come back to normal the moment I had this in control . At that point , I sat on my office chair for the first time since I got into my office. I knew the next step that I was going to do was not that easy but it was what I was left with.

Okay , I had promised my self that I could not get to this point but at this time it was the only thing that I was left with to do . I had swore that I could never do this but for sure , we should never say never in this life time no matter what .

That was the state that I was in at the state at this time. I tried to get very comfortable on my chair but trust me nothing was helping at all . The discomfort was actually running throughout my whole body.

After that , I unlocked my cellphone once again and went ahead to go through the contact list until I came to that specific number that I was looking for.

It was Rio’s number . I know I had vowed that I could not tell my son in law about this about this but the state that I was in at the time was actually so difficult for me and trust me , he was the right person that I needed to tell about this no matter what .

I first hestated but the eventually pressed the yes button waiting eagerly for him to pick up the call. The call went on one…two …three…and then he eventually picked up the call.

“Hello Ophelia .” that voice was enough to make me all confused but that was not what I was supposed to do now if I at all wanted to get any help from him.

“Yes, Good morning Rio.” I was as confident as I was supposed to be at the morning .

“What do I owe this morning call.” He was the chilly son I law that I know .

“Hope you are doing well along side my daughter .” I tried not to hit the point or else I could end up scaring him away in no time.

“Yes we are. she is busy with the unpacking back home.” He informed me. Oh! that meant that he was actually not at home . I think that was a better advantage for me to do what I was supposed to do .

“So , you mean you are busy at the hospital?” I asked though I made it appear like it was just a statement and not a question.

“I had a special operation that I had to accomplish and it is already done.”

“Oh , it means you are now free and not having anything to do ?” I asked him . it was not important any more for me to continue beating around the bush. It was not going to help any more. The earlier I finished this was the better for me.

“Yes, why do I have a feeling that you are up want to ask me something .” he commented and that was the truth .

“yes, that is exactly what it is . I want to talk to you . I don’t know if you have some time so that you can come and meet during the lunch break .”I suggested that and hoped that he just allowed to come and see me .

At least his meeting with me could see another trend when these things could come to an end. We agreed that he could come to see me during the lunch break. At least the coming hours, I was a bit bold to do all the work that am meant to do .
