Emily was lying on her couch with a cozy blanket and some warm coffee and was changing the channels of her TV . She wanted to distract herself from all the chaos that she has been so she could feel normal back again . Her phone was ringing but she wasn't giving any attention to it . The caller hit the voice mail' Emily call me back as soon as possible . I have something important to tell you . So please call me back ! '

Emily got off the couch and picked up her phone Had it been somebody else she would have ignored the mail but it was Rachel . Out of all the people she could have never ignored her . She called her ;

" Hello Rach , I just got your mail . "

" What happened to you ? "

Emily knew you that Rachel could understand her mood from her voice She tried to act calm and casual . " Nothing . . . . . Why did you even ask ? "

" Don't pretend Emily , I know something is not fine with you . tell me what ?"

" You called me to tell me something important so what is it ? Shoot it . "

" Emily ! . . . . . . . "

" Fine , Matt stopped by . "

" What ? why ? . . . What did he wanted from you ? "

" He said that he was sorry for every thing and he kind of wanted another chance . "

" Please , please , please , tell me that you were not driven by his sweet words or his boyish smile or of course his body that you could not resist . Oh God ! Please tell me that you didn't sleep with him . "

" Oh geez no , what do you think of me . I told him that I didn't wanted to do anything from him and I asked him to leave . "

" Well good for you . I am proud of you girl . So we both are back in the single club , YAY ! but no worries we will go to the prom together . After all prom should not be about boys it should be about the memories that we make . "

" Oh prom ! I was kind a thinking to pass it on . "

" Why ? why will you even say that . "

" Leave that tell me what did you wanted to talk about . "

" You asked me if I could get you a job at 'The beanery' , so a waitress just left and there is a vacancy . I talked to Judy about you so do you want to . . . . . . "

Stella handed all the money of her family and Emily knew that she won't spare her any to go to the music school she wanted to . So Emily had to make some money so that she could sponsor her own education . And now she didn't even had any money in her name . Of course Emily's mother saved money for her but now they all belonged to Stella and Emily was not even allowed to ask for it . Rachel did waitressing at ' The Beanery' . Emily thought that if she worked there for a few hours then she will be able to save some money . But earlier there was no spot for . And she had no time to out looking for another job . She knew that she won't be able to make a lot of money waitressing but at least then she won't be dependent on anyone .

" Generally I would have said that you don't have to be but today I will say , FINE ! may it up with a cup of coffee . "

" Ok mam , where ? "

" Where else ' The Beanery ' , And that way you can introduce yourself to Judy . I must tell you she is the sweetest person I have ever met . You will love her . "

" Now I can't wait to meet her . "

Emily got up and went to take a shower . She didn't wanted Rach to know that she has been crying . But she knew that no matter how much she tries to hide her pain Rachel will see right through her .

Emily walked out of her house . But then she thought has she kept her phone so she looked for it in her purse . Matt was sitting on the stairs outside her house . She didn't see him of course , her mind was in her phone . Finally she saw it . She took it out to call Rach and tell her that she was leaving

" Make sure to lock the door . " Matt said sitting innocently and staring her .

" Oh dear God ! " She startled and dropped her phone . She turned around and saw Matt . " Matt stop scaring me for the love of God . "

" Lock the door Emily . You know I told you that robbers could break in and you could not defend yourself with a knife no matter how strong you are . "
