Chapter 10: Arianna’s POV

“Mate!” I hear Melanie say.

“Mate?” I said frightenedly. “How? Are you sure?” still questioning her. “Yes, I’m sure. We need to go to him.” I can practically hear her drooling. I look around and there he was. His eyes were as black as the night sky, I’m falling deep into them. Melanie is right I want to go to him, but I can’t. Especially since I came with Chris, and we just started dating. I don’t know what to do. I need to find my friends; I need to talk to them now.

I let go of Chris’s arm, “Hey I’ll be right back, I need to find Mandy and Ella.” He smiles at me, “Okay, but don’t be too long. I have a surprise for you later.” He kisses my forehead and let’s me go. I basically run to find my friends. I see them talking to each other in the back of the ballroom.

“Hey, need to talk now.” I say urgently. We head to the bathroom, and I lock the door behind me. “What’s wrong? Is everything okay?” Mandy says. “Not exactly, I think I found my second chance mate…” They gasp.

“I don’t know what to do, we just started dating. I can’t believe this is happening! Help me, what do I do?”

“You have to tell Chris before he tells everyone that y’all are dating.” Ella says. “How? If I do, I’m going to break his heart and even though we only been together for a few days. He makes me feel special and wanted. What if I rejected again?” I try not to panic, pacing around the bathroom.

“Go talk to your mate first, let him know what the situation is. Maybe you can change his mind and he can let you go; then you can still get to be with Chris. He won’t have to know about this, and you get to have your happily ever after.” Says Mandy, it’s a good plan I just hope it works. “Okay wish me luck!” I give them a hug and we head back to the party; I go to find my mate. He is standing next to the window, like he’s waiting for me.

As I walk towards him, I instantly feel the mate bond pulling me to him. I can feel his aura and senses his power. I walk up to him and look deep into his eyes, I’m speechless. I literally have to look up at him. “Mate,” I said to him. “Mate!” he said. “Hi, I’m Arianna, daughter of Beta Damian.” I can barely make out a sentence talking to him. “I know you are my mate, but I came over to talk to you about rejecting our mate bond. Chris and I started just dating and he makes me happy. I was hoping you can consider on rejecting me or me reject you so I can continue my relationship with Chris.” My hands are shaking as I talk to him. He is eyes turned black, I know I just p*ssed him off.

Gabriel’s POV:

I can’t even describe how beautiful she is. She walks with grace as she is born with it. Her hazel eyes show me how down to Earth she is. Her smile shows how sweet she is. Her face shows how a queen should look like. I’m trying to hold it in, I don’t want to scare my mate away, I know how intimidating I can be. I watch how her and Chris walk in together.

I can’t show my jealousy. I need to meet her; I need to know what kind of mate the goddess has paired me with. I want to take her from that puny Alpha, but I can’t disrespect him especially since I am a guest of his pack grounds. I need to remain calm and noble until I get her alone, then she will become mine! She looked at me. She knows she’s my mate. Her face looks so scared, she lets go of Chris and heads to the back of the room. It looks like she’s talking to her friends.

“Gabe,” I hear Noah calling me, “Did you find your mate? Where is she?” I was just about to tell him, but I see her and her friends walking to the bathroom. “It looks like she need a minute, she probably wants to make sure she looks good before she meets me.” I say with a playful smile. “I can’t believe you found her. This is great, soon we’ll have a queen. So much for no distractions.” Noah says jokingly.

I punch him on his arm. “Be professional. We still have a responsibility to do while we’re here. This does make our plan a bit more complicated, but I assure you, I will remain focus. I just need to tell her that while I’m here I need to focus on the rogue attacks and when we get home, she’ll have all my attention.” I say hungerly.

I see her come out of the restroom; she looks so nervous. I could imagine, I’m very intimidating. Her sweet scent hits me, I just want to grab her and kiss all over her sweet body .I look into her eyes. She is so small compared to me, I’m 6’4” and she's at least 5’5”.

“Hi, I’m Arianna, daughter of Beta Damian.” I was just about to introduce myself, but she cuts me off. “I know you are my mate, but I came over to talk to you about rejecting our mate bond. I couldn’t believe what she just said! “Chris and I started just dating and he makes me happy. I was hoping you could consider rejecting me or me reject you so I can continue my relationship with Chris.

”What the f*ck just happened! I can feel my wolf, he wants to out. “You mean to tell me, we waited 200 years for our mate, and she wants to be someone else. I’m going to show that no good puny Alpha what a real Alpha King is made of!” Zane, my wolf says. “No, you’re not! I’m going to take care of this. Whether she likes it or not she is going to ours!
