I eventually went back to town a few days later. It has been nine days since I ran away from my wedding. I feel confident enough to face everyone again.
Even if my wedding didn't push through, Phoebe had the guests proceed to the reception. I was glad that she did. It would be a shame if all the food went to waste.
According to Phoebe, everyone in the office can't stop talking about what happened. It only happens in movies. They can't believe it would happen in real life, let alone to their boss.
I arrived back in town on Sunday evening and went to sleep as soon as my head hit the bed. I will be up bright and early the next day to go back to work and face the people who witnessed the most embarrassing moment in my life.
