IN the next few days, I barely saw Joshua except for when we had our regular meetings. Even then, we only said cursory hellos to each other and did not talk alone.
Phoebe kept appearing by my side. She didn't ask who I was, but I had the feeling that she wanted to make sure I was okay. One time, I asked why she kept accompanying me, and she admitted that Joshua asked her to make sure I was okay.
Phoebe mentioned how much Joshua still loves me, and how he's so worried about me. This made me feel sad and almost made me want to get back together with him. However, the fact remains that he has a child on the way with another woman. I didn't want to be the reason why that little girl would be growing up without a father.
