The Banished Siblings

Chapter One

I pull up to my mamma's fancy new house. 'This mate of hers really knows how to treat her' I think to myself as I put my old beat up car into park. I stop for a moment just to take in the view. Varies flowers sound the front of the house on either side of the three stares up to the porch. Among them is my mamma's favorite a rose bush in full bloom. I get out of my car and walk up the steps. The porch has  a wooden swing on it big enough to fit two people on the right side. On the left is a small glass table with four matching chairs. 

Before I even get the chance to get all the way up to the door. The door swings open to reveal a man about my mothers age. He has blue eyes and light brown hair. That was probably blonde once but darkened with age. He's about 6'2" dressed to impress. In a nice grey suit and tie. 

"Your Kelly's boy right?" He asked.

"Yes sir," I answered.

"You can come right on in. You are always welcomed here son," He said and gave me a warm weclomeing smile.

"Thank you sir," I responded.

" Enough with the sir it makes me feel old. Only people that work for me have to call me sir," He chuckled making me feel welcomed.

"Say if you ever need anything just say the word. I'll make it happen. I know you've had a rough life. I don't want to make it worse on you. Since you've never had a father you can call me dad if you want or just James will be fine," As he talked it almost brought tears to my eyes. I have never had someone be so kind to me in my life. 

"Thank you James. You have no idea how much that means to me. I don't take hand outs. I will work for everything I have. I you ever need a hard worker, I am always available," I told him.

"I am running late for a meeting but we will continue this talk another time. Maybe over dinner tonight. Please stay we would love to have you," He said and I nodded.

He walked off to I assume his car. I didn't see any other car when I pulled in but maybe it was around the side where I couldn't see it.

I walk into the house to see my mamma sitting in a chair reading the vampire news.

"What's the news about today Mamma?" I asked as I walked into the sitting room. Everything in the sitting room was red. The walls the carpet and the furniture. 

"I am worried about this son, come read this," She said.

I did as she said. I told the paper from her and sat on the chair beside her and began to read.

                                                              Breaking Discovery 

There has been a breaking discovery in the science community. We are close to being able to link everyone's linage with one simple blood test. This won't just give a percentage of how much you are related to someone like current test do. This test will tell you who your mother is and father. Along with all there siblings including ilgimated siblings. All your cousins and aunts and uncles grandparents and great grandparents. It is the most indepth family tree that is close to 100% accurate. It is said that once it is completed test will be run on real families. In order to build the best database will mean that everyone will have to eventually have to have their blood drawn and put on file. 

Once I finished reading I looked up to mamma with worried eyes. We both knew what this could mean. This could destroy so many lives. Mamma ain't the first to do what she did and she surely hasn't been the last. 

"I plan on coming clean to James tonight. We never talked about how many kids I had but he just assumes only one since your the only one I kept," She said with tears in her eyes.

I knew the tears weren't regret for raising me but for not being able to raise my brothers and sisters as well. 

"He asked me to stay for dinner. Maybe I can lesson the blow. I planned on staying anyways," I said.

"Yes, please stay. I don't know how I am going to do this," Mamma cried.

"Don't worry we will figure this out. Hopefully when the testing comes they think that there is still some kind of mistake. we aren't the only family to have done that and you know that. Unless anyone comes clean about who all has done it," I said trying to sound convincing. 

She wasn't buying it so there was probably more that I didn't know. I don't have all the knowledge about what is going on in our community being the low level that I am. Even though Mamma was once again in a high status some people don't know where she comes from and still doesn't trust her but she still has more access than I do. 

I stay visiting with Mamma for several hours before Her mate comes home again. He walks in the door carrying several pizzas. I get up to help him. It was enough to feed an army. 

We get the pizza's in the kitchen and I am amazed by how big it is. Mamma and I sat in the red sitting room all day. 

The kitchen was painted in green. The countertops were a nice light grey marble with a bar in the middle of the kitchen which is where we set the pizzas. There were four high chairs around the bar on each side. The floor was a brazilin tiger blue polished porcelain tile. 

"This house is beautiful," I said.

"Thank you, Have you had a tour of the house yet?" He asked.

"No we just stayed in the sitting room. I't been awhile since I seen mamma" I said.

"Here let me take you on a tour son." He said and motioned for me to follow him. We ended up at the front door. "As you know to you right is the sitting room. and you go through the sitting room to he Kitchen. Now if you go left from the door you have our dinning room," He said and we walked into the dinning room.

The dinning room was a heather grey colored walls. a window with beautiful long wolf curtains. The table was big enough to fit 20 people. There was a nice Crystal chandelier right above the middle of the table.

"You can kept going around in a circle to the kitchen again or you can go through this door for my office which I keep the door closed." He explain and made no move to show me his office. Which I undertsood so I just nodded and he continued. " Going back to the kitchen you can either keep going in a circle to the sitting room or come back to the main living room." He said and lead the way to the living room. 

"That room had my jaw dropping. The massive t.v. took up nearly the whole wall which was mounted to the wall just above the fire place. There were two couches on either side of the t.v. and a love seat directly in front of the t.v. but back far enough to have a good view. Also two single chairs on each side of the love seat making the furniture into a horseshoe shape. This room was painted light purple like a lilac and had a coffee table in the middle of the room. There were nice wooden stands in-between each piece of furniture. 

"I am impressed. This is one of the best decorated and beautiful houses I have ever seen," I told James.

" This is nothing compared to some of my families houses. Not as well decorated but this is one of the smaller ones for sure," He said.

i just couldn't believe it. I have never even dreamed of a house like this. 

"Let continue shall we," He said and we again walked back in a circle to the front door. "Back behind the stairs is ours guest bathroom on the first floor. you can see that one your own time" He said and chuckled.

We continued up the stairs to the second floor. 

"Here is the second guest bathroom on the second floor" He said pointing to the left he didn't stop walking so neither did I. The wall on the second floor were all wood paneled. 

"This is the master bedroom" he said pointing to a closed door on the right. 

"There are another 5 bedrooms on this floor but they aren't nothing special. Lets go to the third floor." He said and so we did. The thirds floor was a floor to ceiling library. 

We went out to the balcony right outside the library and he pointed out the guest house. Which was really just a loft over top of the pool house. There was also a shed way out in the back of the yard. A nice underground pool.

"There is a garage on the side of the house you can't see it from here." James said.

"Wow this is very impressive," I said once again not knowing what else to say. 

" The basement isn't finished so I'll take you down there some other time," He said and lead the way back through the house. 

We get back down to the sitting room where mamma is waiting patiently for us.

"So what do you think of the house?" Mamma asked.

"This house is beautiful mamma. I am so happy for you to have found your mate," I told her.

"I was thinking why don't you move in here son. It would be good for you to get a change," Mamma said.

"I can't mamma. I like my human school no one knows me or where I am from I was the mysterious new kid but I have friends now and I also have this amazing best friend.  She is awesome Mamma you would like her," I said smiling at the thought of Sandra. 

"Oh sweat heart you found your mate didn't you," Mamma looked so happy at the thought.

"Don't even go there mamma. I can't never have her. She is human and I would never be allowed to turn her," I said a little sad but I had to remind myself he was just a friend and she would never know the life I live. 

Oh boy that is rough meeting your mate so soon and not being able to have her is worse than finding her so late in life," James said. 

"Enough of the sad talk lets bring out the pizza before it gets cold," James said

"Why did you bring pizza home I thought we were going to cook for Ashton," Mamma asked James confused.

"I figured that he would like pizza over anything else for him to get comfortable here." James said.

We all dig into our pizza and eat in silence for a bit. Before James breaks it.

"Kelly dear did you tell him the good news?" James asked Mamma.

"No I hadn't I was waiting for you dear," Mamma said.

" What's going on I asked playing dumb" I already knew but had to play along.

"We are expecting our first child," Mamma said excited there was a ne light in her eyes talking about her new baby one that she would get to raise better than me. It mad me a little sad but I already knew this was coming and had to play along. 

" Wow that's amazing mamma I get another sibling," I say all excited and get up and hug her.

"Yes you get another sibling. You can cut the act I already know," James said. 

"Wait you know how?" Mamma asked with tear in her eyes.

"I've know awhile now. I was hoping you'd say something sooner and introduce your son to me sooner but now is a good time as any,": James said.
