Alice was considering a career change by the time the week was over. Dr. Murphy had disappeared from the face of the planet, and Dr. Bear—er, Scoville—made the graveyard shift almost unbearable. She scoffed at the word unbearable. bearBut she’d survived another week, and she had Sunday and Monday off. She wanted to sleep until she woke naturally. No alarm. No rushing to get over to the school to pick up Westin. And she could have that luxury, because Hunter had Westin for the weekend. Alice was getting better at filling her time with her own wants, and it hadn’t taken long for her to do so.
