Bella turned to look at me, her smile widening. " Hey. I was wondering where you disappeared to." She replied.
" Just handling some Alpha business," I replied, trying to keep my voice light.
" It's nothing that couldn't wait."
I reached out and took her hand, lacing our fingers together. Her touch was comforting and my wolf purred in satisfaction.
" Is something's wrong," Bella asked, her smile fading.
I almost panicked but stopped myself.
" Nothing is wrong." I answered, offering her a smile. The look in her face told me she didn't believe it.
