I stared up at Asher as he hovered above me, and I could see that he meant every word. The only thing is, he didn’t know he was in the dark. He kept talking about the man who was going to marry me, about how he’d make him pay.
But I knew once he found out the truth, he wouldn’t be able to kill him.
