Even the manager was shocked. He looked at my face over and over again.
"Maybe this some kind of systemic error." He stroked his chin as he thought aloud.
"Definitely, not." Monica's sharp eyes didn't leave the screen. Was that a smile I saw on her face?
"Okay, let me check for a second time." He cleared off everything and typed my details once again.
The two accounts appeared again, and the huge amount of money was still sitting in the second account.
I felt tongue tied and powerless right now.
"I– i– I don't know how that money got into my account, I swear." I turned to Monica. "I can call Adrian, and I will explain everything to him."
The manager sensed that this was a private family issue, so he said something about verifying the balance again.
